Carbon dioxide, FM200 or similar extinguishing system, shall be installed in accordance with standards acceptable to the Director of Fire Services. When installed the system may be combined manual/automatic with or without remote operation. Such systems in their simplest form consist of one or more storage containers with discharge valves, detection heads, piping and discharge nozzles. If the system is intended for total flooding of the premises/compartment, then automatic actuating devices may be necessary, in addition, to ensure complete compartmentation.
